Getting started
Your new workspace is empty — where to start
A production workspace starts empty on purpose. The setup path on Home turns the blank page into a short, ordered plan.
A new production workspace has no employees, cases, or documents in it — that’s the point. Nothing you see is sample data, and there’s nothing to clean up. When you don’t know where to begin, Home lists the first moves in order.
The setup path
- Confirm your company profile — your province and city tell Dutiva where you operate, which scopes what it monitors and the templates it suggests. Until it’s done you can fill it in right on Home; afterwards it lives in Settings.
- Prepare first-hire documents — open Document Studio and draft from a template, even before you’ve hired anyone.
- Start your policy register — add a written policy, or note a gap to come back to.
- See how a guided process works — open Workflows and walk through a flow before you need it.
- Add your first person — whenever you’re ready. Solo for now is a normal state; this step waits.
Once something exists
The path doesn’t vanish after your first record. A “Finish setting up” card stays on Home with the remaining steps until setup is done — or until you hide it.
“Add the remaining steps to Tasks” writes the open steps as real tasks — no invented due dates, just the plan in the same list as the rest of your work.
If you don’t know what to ask
Two suggestion chips under the composer on Home send a starter question to the Advisor — for example, what to set up first when you’re on your own. It’s a way in, not a script.
Steps check themselves off from real records — there’s nothing to tick by hand. Start with the first one; the rest will still be there.
